Christmas Bazaar – Saturday 25th Nov 2017 (12 – 2:30pm)

Time and Venue : 12.00PM at Our Lady of Grace

As with last year, we are asking you to focus on specific items each week. See list below….starting with Bottles and ending with Toys and Bric-a-brac.
PLEASE NOTE that we will not require any CDs or DVDs at any time.
The JAMBOLA proved popular last year so we will be doing this again this year. Please start collecting your jars and give them a good clean before filling them with different items. Jars can be small or large. Here are some ideas:
• Beauty Supplies (cotton wool balls / cotton buds / etc.)
• Nails (emery boards / nail decorations / etc.)
• Sewing – small bobbins of thread / buttons
• Stationary – paper clips / elastic bands/ colouring pencils, erasers
• Child friendly items – stickers / craft kit / cars/ hair bobbles
• Golf tees
• Socks, scarf
• Toiletries
• The possibilities are endless….
PLEASE NOTE that any edible items MUST be in packaging – eg sweets need to be individually wrapped and we cannot accept dried foods such as pasta, coffee
It would be great if you could cover the jar and make it look attractive but we can do that bit for you as long as you fill the jar.
Another stall will be CHOCOLATE CARDS so we need at least 52 items of chocolate in any shape or size, single or boxes.
For the SILENT AUCTION we are again asking parishioners to donate an item or service e.g. 36 mince pies to be delivered before Christmas; an hour’s gardening; afternoon tea for 2; French lessons; Birthday cake; round of golf; knitted item, 2 hours ironing, etc. People will then bid silently for the item they want.
All the traditional stalls will be there such as gifts, tombola, wheel of fortune, Father Christmas, Children’s crafts and we really want to make the CAKE STALL very special this year but more about that later.
We are looking for people to have a stall with their own items or service e.g. homemade cards, massage, manicure etc. Please contact Judith (01494 528855 or judith.forster1@icloud.com) to book your stall. Cost £15 per table.
Of course the very popular lunches and other refreshments will be available.
Please make a note of the date in your diary, bring in donations on the relevant week, offer to help when asked and together we can make this year’s bazaar a huge success.
